This event celebrates live on the Missouri prairie during the late 1880s when George Washington Carver was a child. Activities include cooking, spinning, weaving, storytelling. musical groups, quilting and more. It occurs the second Saturday in September. While it can be a regional event, attendance from people around the country is encouraged and can be a great learning experience as to how life once was on the prairie.
