September 2nd, 2021 Victory over Japan Day occured on September 2, 1945, and is commemorated each year. It marks the official ratification of Japanese surrender to the Allies aboard the USS Missouri at Tokyo Bay. President Truman's officially declarated this day as Victory-over-Japan Day.
