Women's Small Business Month was established in 1988 to promote and acknowledge the accomplishments of female-owned small businesses and to encourage and foster the founding of additional such businesses. In the past 28 years, female-owned small businesses have grown at a far greater rate than any other sector. What's more, women's small businesses have a significant impact on the economies of both the United States and Canada, employing millions of workers and generating trillions of dollars in revenue.
