|Company:||The Caffeine Awareness Association|
National Caffeine Awareness Month serves to reduce dependency on caffeine through education. Seminars and other events focus on coffee alternatives and on the harm caffeine may cause.
Caffeine acts as a central nervous system stimulant. When it reaches the brain, the most noticeable effect is alertness. In high amounts it can make people jittery and lead to problems with sleeping. With time it may cause addiction.
