National Bargain Hunting Week was created in 1996 by Debbie Keri-Brown, a dedicated bargain shopper and author of several books about bargain hunting, to encourage shoppers and businesses to celebrate the thrill of the hunt for bargains. People can engage in bargain hunting by using coupons, shopping sales, visiting consignment shops, and participating in item swaps.
Capitalize on various stores and retailers offering bargain-bottom deals by promoting National Bargain Hunting Week. Cater to community mom and pop stores as well as bigger chain retailers.
