The first midsummer All-Star Game was held at Comiskey Park, Chicago, IL. Babe Ruth led the American League with a home run, as they defeated the National League 4–2. Prior to the summer of 1933, All-Star contests consisted of pre- and postseason exhibitions that often found teams made up of a few stars playing beside journeymen and even minor leaguers.

Baseball is America's pastime. The All Star Game is just one of several baseball-related events that can kick off promotional efforts for sports retailers, local teams, fundraising events, stadiums, and more.
