Ferris Bueller Takes a Day Off: Anniversary, 1985

June 5th, 2024

High school student Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick), played hooky from school on June 5, 1985 in one of John Hughes' famous coming of age movies "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Faking an illness that fools his parents, and rigging his room and home to make it seem like he is sick in bed, Bueller spends the day gallivanting with his best friend Cameron and his girlfriend Sloane. Stops along the way included a baseball game, ritzy restaurant and parade ... with the help of Cameron's dad's 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder. Bueller notably says "How could I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?"
