Mother Goose Day

May 1st, 2023 The Mother Goose Society was founded in 1987 by Gloria T. Delamar, author of two books about Mother Goose and another about early childhood rhymes and rhythms. The purpose of this holiday is "To re-appreciate the old nursery rhymes." Readers both young and old can revisit their favorite nursury rhymes — whether they be Mother Goose or others — and share in this classic form of storytelling.
