ASMR, or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is a kind of tingle that is felt in the brain, such as a pleasurable headache creeping down your spine. It can be triggered by any number of stimuli, including listening to pleasant music, hearing a whisper, watching a soothing television show, or engaging in a hobby. ASMR techniques can be used to induce relaxation and relieve stress. A group of people on Facebook established International ASMR Day as a means to joining together and sharing their experiences.
