Cancer is a prolific disease that affects people of any age, race, ethnicity, and gender. Cancers can spring up any place in the body. And while certain genetic predispositions can responsible for some cancers, research indicates that 40 percent of all cancers diagnosed in the United States can be attributed to preventable causes. That is what makes a month like National Cancer Prevention Month so essential.
