Skyscraper month celebrates the evolution of the high-rise building and the oldest commercial real estate association, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International. BOMA will observe this month at its annual Conference.
Skyscrapers revolutionized urban areas by building up rather than outward. This capitalized on the high cost of real estate in cities and found a way to pack more offices, homes and retail centers into very little square footage. These tall buildings can be a wonder to behold, and drive many tourists to visit skyscraper-laden cities all across the world.
