This month is the time to spread awareness and information about Melanoma and Skin Cancer Detection to protect people. Each year there are more new cases of skin cancer than the combined incidence of cancers of the breast, prostate, lung and colon. Despite its prevalence, many people still do not take the proper precautions to guard against skin cancer.
The American Academy of Dermatology was founded in 1938. It is the largest, most influential and most representative dermatology group in the United States. Its mission is to promote leadership in dermatology and excellence in patient care through education, research and advocacy.
