April is National Cancer Control Month. One out of every four deaths in the United States results from cancer. The American Cancer Society is doing their part in the fight against cancer and to continue to spread awareness about the disease, currently funding 942 cancer research grants. There is always more to do concerning cancer, however, until this prevalent disease is eradicated.
Although the topic of cancer is seldom one people want to bring up, awareness efforts can help shed light on common and rare forms of the disease, pave the way for research and intervention, and galvanize support efforts in communities. A cancer information section produced with the help of the Editorial Library can be a springboard for community effort and simultaneously drive ad sales for respective doctors, health clinics, pharmacies, and other health-related businesses.
