National Poison Prevention Week aids in encouraging the people to learn of the dangers of unintentional poisoning and to take preventive measures against it. Poisons can take many forms and may include cleaning products, solvents, paints, lacquers, medications, and other items found around the house and places of employment.
Give residents an opportunity to safely dispose of chemical products and other items that can be poisonous. Work with community trash collection services to advertise safe drop-off locations for leftover paints, stains, cleaning supplies and more.
