Drunk driving continues to be a deadly epidemic that takes the lives of more than 10,000 people each year, on average. That is the equivalent to 20 jumbo jets crashing. Law enforcement in every state, province and territory are cracking down on drunk driving. Communities can do their part by continuing to educate about the hazards of impaired driving. The holiday season is a prime time for accidents related to impaired drinking. There also is a campaign that takes place around Labor Day.
