NCPIE is Collaborating to Reduce Medication Errors with The National Coordinating Council for Medication Error Reporting and Prevention (NCC MERP). NCC MERP is an independent body comprised of 27 leading national health care organizations collaborating and cooperating to address the interdisciplinary causes of errors and to promote the safe use of medications. Their mission is to maximize the safe use of medications and to increase awareness of medication errors through open communication, increased reporting and promotion of medication error prevention strategies. It is a key component of “Talk About Prescriptions Month” (TAP Month).
