Safer Internet Day (SID) is a global event that takes place on February 6. It is an initiative designed to raise awareness about the very real dangers lurking sight unseen on the other end of an internet connection, as it pertains to youth browsing and communicating via the web. It is up to parents, schools, caregivers, and law enforcement personnel to protect children online by teaching them safe browsing methods, and learning how to recognize inappropriate behavior.
