National Grandparents' Day honors grandparents and gives families an opportunity to show love to their matriarchs and patriarchs. It also helps children become aware of the strength, information and guidance older people can offer.
This event has been noted by Presidential Proclamation as the first Sunday after Labor Day. It is celebrated in many countries, though not always on the same date. Its purpose is to help children honor grandparents and understand and appreciate the contributions of older citizens, while providing the opportunity for grandparents to show their love and support for their children's children. You'll find ads, images, cover ideas and headings in September offerings from the MCC Libraries.
