Fibromyalgia is a condition often characterized by chronic, widespread pain. It can affect all areas of the body and vary in intensity. It is estimated that 6 to 10 percent of people in the United States have fibromyalgia, and it affects women, men and children. However, fibromyalgia is much more common in women.
National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day sheds light on the condition, pain management and helps educate others about this misunderstood condition.
