Autism affects children and adults in all regions, regardless of gender, race or socioeconomic status. It poses challenges to long-term health care, education, training, and intervention programs, and has a tremendous impact on children, their families, communities and societies. To further educate about autism and the high rates of the condition, the General Assembly designated April 2 to be World Autism Awareness Day on Dec 18, 2007.
World Autism Day is honored in many different ways in communities. To help any promotion, rely on images and informative features on autism from MetroCreativeConnection.
