The new school year means many changes for students, parents and teachers. It also means a greater number of motorists and pedestrians will be on the roadways prior to and after school hours. When school is in session, greater emphasis can be placed on keeping children safe as they make their ways to and from the campus. Adults also can be aware and become educated about backpack safety, playground safety, and safe sports play this time of year.

It's one of the busiest times of year for retailers, as the Back to School season comes only second to the holidays for revenue spent in most stores. Everyone from office supply stores to home centers to clothing stores to electronics retailers will be putting their spin on Back to School sales. Metro should be the first stop for school-related ads, images and school-related editorial content.
