For many people, every day is a chance to promote Down syndrome awareness — advocating for children to be included in school and community activities, highlighting their talents, giving them opportunities to show just how much they have to share. The calendar, however, provides the public with one month during the year when everyone can really step up those efforts. There are many ways to promote Down syndrome awareness in the community. And the good news is that many others are taking notice by including children with Down syndrome in advertising campaigns, and building entire programs around inclusivity.
