Superman comic fans young and old converge on Metropolis, IL to celebrate all things Superman. The Superman Celebration is an annual four-day festival sponsored by The Metropolis Chamber of Commerce and the City of Metropolis – The Official Home of Superman. With exhibits, special guests and plenty of fun events, there's certainly something to entertain and enthrall. Superman was created by DC comics. Superman was rocketed from the doomed planet Krypton to Earth, where he was found and raised by a kindly couple in Smallville, Kansas as Clark Kent. Growing up, he develops super-powers and travels to the city of Metropolis where he becomes Superman to protect the people.
