Cancer is a prolific disease that affects people of any age, race, ethnicity, and gender. Cancers can spring up any place in the body. And while certain lifestyle factors or outside contaminants may be responsible for some cancers, research indicates that 40 percent of all cancers diagnosed in the United States can be attributed to preventable causes. That is what makes a month like National Cancer Prevention Month so essential. Through public awareness, others can share the risk factors for many cancers and what steps can be taken to largely prevent cancers from forming — anything from quitting smoking to using sunscreen daily.
Throughout the Editorial Library of MCC.com one can find a vast array of feature articles on the ways to reduce the risk of cancer, ideal for promoting #NationalCancerPreventionMonth.
