March 27th - April 3rd
Passover begins at sundown and lasts for eight days in the Jewish faith. It marks the celebration of the delivery of the Jews from slavery in Egypt. In Hebrew it is known as Pesach (which means "to pass over"), because God passed over the Jewish homes when killing the Egyptian firstborn on the very first Passover eve. Unleavened bread (matzoh) is frequently eaten at this time.

Passover features many culturally significant foods. This is a prime time for supermarkets and other food stores to promote specialty Passover offerings that are likely on sale.
