National Banana Split Day

August 25th, 2021 Banana splits are one of the more popular ice cream desserts. A classic banana split is made from slicing a banana in half lengthwise (hence the name) with a combination of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream. Toppings include chocolate syrup, marshmallow whipped cream and maraschino cherries. Sometimes toppings will include pineapple chunks.
