National Lobster Day is observed each year on September 25th per Senate announcement, although some people also celebrate earlier on June 15.
The simplest way to enjoy lobster is boiled then dipped in melted butter. A couple of favorite lobster recipes include Lobster Newberg and Lobster Thermidor. It is also the main ingredient in soup, bisque, lobster rolls and salads. Lobsters were once only served to servants and were considered a food of the poor. It took some time before lobster became a coveted delicacy.
