The Pennsylvania Evening Post became the first daily newspaper published in the US. The paper was published at Philadelphia, PA by Benjamin Towne. Many other newspapers sprung up in its wake, and printed news became the way people learned about their nearby communities, and afterward, national and international events.
Newspapers may have had humble beginnings, but they have grown to be community touchstones and the premier places to go for advertising, information and more.
