World Cancer Day is the time to unite the world in the fight against the disease through raising awareness, educating the public, and lobbying for change.
The World Health Organization states cancers figure among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with an estimated 18 million cancer cases around the world in 2018, of these 9.5 million cases were in men and 8.5 million in women. Apart from non-melanoma skin cancers, lung cancer, breast cancer and colorectal cancer are the leading cancer cases across the globe.
