Buy Nothing Day is a 48-hour moratorium on consumer spending. It's a celebration of simplicity, about getting the runaway consumer culture back onto a sustainable path. In North America, the United Kingdom, Finland and Sweden, Buy Nothing Day takes place the day after U.S. Thanksgiving, concurrent to Black Friday.
