“Fashion, Health & Beauty” Section Attracts New Advertisers

Independent weekly newspaper gives a Templated Special Section (TSS) its own touch for added advertiser appeal.

CREATE: The Westmount Independent team retitled their Metro “Fab, Fit & Healthy” TSS as “Fashion, Health & Beauty” to better engage their target advertisers and audience as a print insert and online section.

SELL: Editor David Price says the special section helped them connect with local businesses, giving them a tool to approach new advertisers and explain the value of appearing in their publication and this issue in particular.

PROFIT: The section drew a variety of footwear, apparel, beauty and wellness advertisers, successfully generating increased revenue for the publication.
