Western Pacific Hurricane Season

Hurricane season, also known as typhoon season in the west, is the annual cycle of tropical cyclone formation, in which strong storms form in the western Pacific Ocean. The season runs throughout the year, though most hurricanes typically develop between May and October.

Weather preparedness is key when hurricane season arrives. It's never to early for individuals to stock up supplies and ready their homes for impending inclement weather. Use Metro's editorial content to put together a disaster preparedness information section or page.
