In order to highlight the growing need for concern and awareness about autism, the Autism Society has been celebrating National Autism Awareness Month since the 1970s. This month creates a special opportunity for people to educate themselves and others about autism and issues within the autism community, and also support the many children and adults who live with autism.
Autism is a pervasive condition that affects people all across the country. Fundraisers, rallies, wearing blue, and much more, help to shed light on autism.
